What we collect
Account email (via our identity provider), the building inputs you enter for a calculation, saved projects, and standard usage analytics (pages viewed, features used). We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record. We do not store your card details; Paddle handles billing data under its own privacy policy.
Project & building data
Calculation inputs (project name, station/ZIP, dwelling details) are used to produce your result. In the free calculator these stay in your browser and are not stored on our servers. Saved projects (a future paid feature) will be retained while your account is active and deleted on request or within a reasonable period after account closure.
Analytics & sub-processors
We use product analytics and error monitoring to improve the app, which may set cookies or local storage. Current sub-processors include Paddle (billing), and analytics/error tools such as PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, and Sentry. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. This includes residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and other US states with privacy laws (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah). Email us to exercise any of these rights.
Where we operate
Kappa is intended for users in the United States. If you access it from the EU/UK, note that data may be processed in the US; contact us with any questions before submitting personal data.
